Three Clark Construction officials were round table leaders recently at one of the nation’s largest conferences regarding construction and development of shopping centers and retails stores. The CenterBuild 2008 Conference sponsored by the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) was held December 3rd through 6th in Phoenix, Arizona. Featured Clark Construction round table leaders at the conference and their topics were:
Allen Blower, Director of Retail Operations who spoke on the practical uses of 3D/Building Information Modeling in retail construction. Blower is a graduate of Michigan Technological Institute with a degree in Civil Engineering and has 15 years experience in the construction industry.
Gerald Boerner, Vice President Operations who spoke on LEED practices in retail from a contractor’s perspective. Boerner is a graduate of Colorado State University with a degree in Civil Engineering. He has been in the construction industry for 28 years and was director of retail operations for Clark Construction for 15 years.
Troy Moulton, Senior Project Manager who spoke on site development challenges and the lack of available prime land for major retail projects. Moulton is a graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in Construction Management. With 21 years of construction experience, he has completed projects in four countries and nine states.
