Clark Construction Company announced that Nick Freund has achieved the status of LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP). In order to become a LEED Accredited Professional, Nick completed training and passed an exam evaluating his understanding of green building practices and principles and the LEED Rating System.
"The increasing demand for Green building projects heightens the need for LEED certified professionals like Nick Freund," said Clark Construction CEO Chuck Clark.
Since joining Clark Construction nearly two years ago, Nick has worked as a project engineer on several of Clark's retail project in southeast Michigan, including Crossroads Village in Canton, Michigan. Nick is currently working at the Macomb Marketplace development in Macomb County.
The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating Systemâ„¢ promotes a whole-building approach to sustainability by recognizing performance in five key areas of human and environmental health; sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection, and indoor environmental quality. The program is a part of the USGBC.
