Two Clark Construction Employees Receive Green Advantage® Certification

Clark Construction Company has announced that Wes Avery and Jessica Ripley have earned their Green Advantage® certification. Green Advantage® is an environmental certification intended primarily for individuals working within the construction industry.

Wes Avery is a Project Manager for Clark Construction. His project work includes the Swartz Creek Community Schools High School cafeteria renovation, East Lansing High School stadium renovation, Alma Public Schools bond program and the Mid-Michigan District Health Department headquarters in St. Johns. Wes is a graduate of Ferris State University in with a bachelor’s degree in Building Construction Technology Management.

Jessica Ripley is a Project Engineer with Clark Construction. Her responsibilities have included work on the Fairlane Towncenter in Dearborn, Twelve Oaks Mall expansion in Novi, the Health and Human Services Building at Lansing Community College, and the Administration Building at Lansing Community College. Jessica is a graduate of Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

The Green Advantage® certification is designed to be a non-competitive, complementary offering that supports the Leadership and Environmental Design Green Building Rating System (LEED) of the U.S Green Building Council. Both Avery and Ripley have received their LEED AP Certification.

The EcoVillage Institute, Inc. (now Green Advantage, Inc.) was selected by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency through a competitive grant process to develop and deliver a training and Certification program for building-related professionals. Green Advantage was officially launched in 2001 in Florida. Over 2000 individuals throughout the United States are Green Advantage Certified.
