W. J. MAXEY TRAINING FACILITY

The W. J. Maxey Training School is a residential treatment facility for youth offenders, 12 to 21 years of age. The facility includes both medium and maximum security areas. This 144,000 sq. ft. expansion added two new housing units totaling 220 beds; a new powerhouse facility for the primary heating system; and a new building housing the reception area, classrooms, state-of-the-art central security system, and food service.
