The new building was designed to blend with the existing downtown structures and includes four high-tech courtrooms, offices for nearly all county departments, and administrative offices for the City of St. Johns.

A new 18,500 sq. ft. addition was built to house the 90th District Court Facility; renovations took place at multiple buildings including the jail, county building, a school for at-risk teens, and the Sheriff’s Road Patrol building.

Expansionandrenovationof the South Campus provides (2) new housing units with 10-bed separate secure pod areas per building; classroom space; new reception and security area; new full-service kitchen and dining facility; gymnasium, exterior basketball & volleyball courts; new perimeter security fencing and new powerhouse facility. The security system is state-of-the-art and not only controls locking systems, but also has group lighting controls, cameras, sound system and cell monitors. The central control center in the reception building, as well as security controls in each housing pod, use touch screen systems. Renovations to the existing 100,000 s.f. improved the center’s residential facilities to accommodate step-down and transition programs.
