With an eye toward the future after a successful 72 year run Sam Clark, President of Clark Construction Company along with John Clark, Chairman and Chuck Clark, CEO are pleased to announce the following executive team promotions:
David A. Reece, AIA – Chief Operating Officer
A 36-year veteran of both the design and construction industry, Dave Reece is a graduate of Lawrence Technological University with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Licensed Architect in the State of Michigan. After spending 18 years in the design profession and 8 years as a Senior Vice President with an International Construction Company with a primary focus on Healthcare Design and Construction Dave joined Clark Construction Company in 2009 as their Director of Healthcare. He ultimately rose to Senior Vice President leading the Healthcare Market Segment, the Preconstruction Department, Business Development and Marketing Groups.
In his new role as Chief Operating Officer, Reece looks to work closely with Sam Clark and other members of the executive team to provide streamlined operational excellence, development of market analytics and reporting dashboards, marketing and business development leadership and preconstruction oversight. Reece is also a member of the ownership group at Clark Construction Company.
Allen Blower – Senior Vice President
Allen is a 25-year veteran of the construction industry and a 1993 graduate of Michigan Technological University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Since joining Clark Construction Company in 1998 as a Project Manager, Allen has completed over $750 Million of construction projects with an emphasis on the private market including retail, mixed use, industrial and gaming for clients such as The Taubman Company throughout the United States, Redico, Aikens Development, Gun Lake Casino, Firekeepers Casino and Dart Container. Allen was promoted to Vice President in 2013.
As Senior Vice President, Allen will continue to lead the private market at Clark Construction Company while providing senior leadership to the operations group, project management group and the superintendents group. Blower is also a member of the ownership group at Clark Construction Company.
Robert LaLonde – Senior Vice President
Robert has 16 years of construction industry experience and is a 2002 graduate from Ferris State University with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management and an Associates in Applied Science in Commercial and Industrial Building Technology from Ferris State University. Robert joined Clark Construction Company in 2006 and quickly rose through the ranks of Project Manager and Senior Project Manager. He was promoted to Vice President in 2013. Robert leads Clark Construction Company’s higher education and science and research market segment and is directly responsible for key projects at Michigan State University, Central Michigan University, Ferris State University, Oakland University and Muskegon County Community College. Robert has led over 40 different projects and successfully completed over $500M of construction projects.
In his new role as Senior Vice President Robert will continue to lead the higher education and science and research market along with providing key leadership and oversight to the preconstruction group. LaLonde is also a member of the ownership group at Clark Construction Company.
Dan Korte – Vice President
A 20-year veteran in the construction industry, Dan is a 2000 graduate of Marquette University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Dan joined Clark Construction Company in 2014 as a Senior Project Manager after a successful career with two international construction companies and has a strong healthcare construction background.
As Vice President, Korte will lead the healthcare market and look to continue to grow that market sector by establish new client relationships, improving upon existing client relationships while finding and developing the best people to perform the work on these projects. Dan will also continue to work closely other private market clients such as the Lansing Board of Water and Light.
Gary Steller – Vice President
Gary is a 35-year veteran of the construction industry and a graduate of Lawrence Technological University with a Bachelor of Science in Business. After a distinguished career in the construction industry Gary joined Clark in 2006 as the Director of the K – 12 elementary school market. Gary has successfully completed over 30 different school bond programs totaling more than $2 Billion of projects throughout Michigan – many for repeat school districts. Gary’s commitment, diligence, foresight and tenacity are the qualities which bring about project results expected by the school districts he serves.
As Vice President Gary will continue to lead the K – 12 elementary school market for existing school districts, build new clients, continue to develop future leaders in the K – 12 Market and work closely with the operations group to streamline procedures and operational efficiency.

Clark is pleased to welcome Julia Tisdale and Ben Williams to our staff as project engineers. A soon-to-be FSU graduate in construction management, Julia has participated in several construction internships. Ben has several years of experience in commercial construction and facilities maintenance as an owner’s representative. Welcome to the Clark Team!
We are pleased to welcome Shane Lounsberry to the Clark Construction team in the role of Project Engineer! Shane has considerable experience in the residential construction industry and looks forward to learning more about the commercial side of the business. His work includes several years as a building and remodeling contractor and also as a materials supplier. Most recently Shane was a Project Manager at McCardel Restoration. He holds a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Construction Management from Michigan State University. Welcome aboard, Shane!
