MCC Health and Wellness Center Renovation and Addition
Muskegon Community college
The Collaborative Inc.
This $14.2 million Health and Wellness Center renovation and addition to the college’s existing athletic facility will include several additions to the center and, when it opens in the fall of 2017, will become an added source of revenue for the college.
The project is expected to include a new 2-court gymnasium with an elevated indoor jogging track, a cardio/fitness/strength training and conditioning area, wrestling room, fitness lab, team rooms, classrooms, faculty offices, locker rooms, lobby/snack bar, a warm therapy pool, multi-purpose rooms, and other supporting spaces.
Additionally, renovations are expected to be made to the existing Bartel-Rode Gymnasium and support space. When completed, this building will not only serve as a place of wellness and recreation, but also as a new activity hub of the MCC campus and broader community.
