Introducing the Michigan State Police Headquarters, a new 150,000 sq.ft. facility featuring five levels with approximately 30,000 sq.ft. per floor. Housing a robust High Security Command and Data Center for Federal and State Homeland Security, this soundproof zone is fortified by five layers of security, including dedicated conduits, data lines, and secure switchgear. With 100% generator backup and redundancy, the electrical system ensures resilience, while a dry FM200 fire protection system safeguards the premises. The building’s structure is fortified with blast-proof walls and security glazing, and 120,000 sq.ft. of computer access flooring are thoughtfully integrated. A state-of-the-art fitness area spans 2,600 sq.ft.

Strategically designed for both subtlety and security, the site boasts concealed protective measures, including landscaping and retaining walls. A secure buffer zone prevents unauthorized vehicle access, while high security fencing surrounds the site, managed by a guard shack. Demonstrating sustainability, the construction incorporated recycled materials, leading to LEED Silver certification.
